Back to School!

Good News! Young people all over this wonderful country are back or will shortly be back to school to continue to develop their gifts and talents that our Heavenly Father has given each of His precious creations. Parents are working hard to prepare each of their children for the school year and encouraging them to stay focused on their task to excel in learning.

Citizens of this nation are blessed to have twelve years of public and private education which can prepare our children for higher learning. Giving them the opportunity to prosper as adults. Those of us who have studied and taken our knowledge to become teachers, doctors, nurses, lawyers, accountants and more know that it takes commitment and diligence to succeed in our chosen professions. It is no different for this younger generation and those to come. It is the responsibility of each young person to do their best and hold themselves accountable for their decisions that are long-lasting and life changing. By evaluating each thought and the consequences of future decisions will keep you safe from rash and dangerous outcomes (2 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 4:17-24; 6:10-17).

It is important for each young person to take their education seriously and focus on those positive things that will help them with their future. This includes their spiritual growth, as well as their academic growth. Because without Jesus in our lives the book knowledge we obtain will not be sufficient to bring us total success—spirit, soul and body (Proverbs 3:5-6; Matt. 11:28-30; 1 Thess. 5:23-24; 3 John 2).

There is great peace in knowing who we are in Christ and using our developed gifts and talents for the good of Mankind. Having the spiritual strength and mental capacity to work in our preferred field of service is not only exciting, but a blessing to you and all those you will be able to help. Let us not forget that prosperity is not only measured by our bank account but includes the content of our character and operates in godly integrity (Psalm 1:1-3; Joshua 1:8-9; James 1:25).

Victory is yours for the taking, if you make a promise to yourself to not be distracted by the evils of this world and cunning deceptions of Satan. Know that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, if you seek the Word of God to direct your thought life, words and actions (Isaiah 54:17; Philippians 3:12-14).

For this reason, I give this charge to all our scholars who are striving to be their finest from the Book of Colossians 2:8-10:

8   See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.

9   For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,

10   and in Christ you have been brought to fullness, He is the head over every power and authority.
