Pastor Edmund Brown, his wife and young daughter are transplants from Ghana doing missionary work in Dusseldorf, Germany. Pastor Brown came to meet the McIntosh couple while attending a ministry conference at Crenshaw Christian Center. Once introduced, the ministers soon knew that a missionary trip to Germany was inevitable. However, no one knew that this trip to Germany would offer Pastor Brown the opportunity to leave Germany and return home to Ghana to attend to family matters.
Pastor and Dr. McIntosh were invited to teach at Pastor Brown’s Ministry School and to help train Helps Ministry Leaders for the children’s ministry. However, once the McIntoshs arrived in Germany they soon where advised that they would be in charge of all church services including Sunday and week day services in addition to teaching at the Ministry School during the day. It was a busy and most full-filling three-week missionary assignment.
Pastor McIntosh conducted all the Sunday Services, as well as taught on the topic of the Christian Family at the Ministry School along with his wife. Dr. McIntosh equipped the children ministry workers using Dr. Tolbert’s training manual titled, “Teaching Like Jesus: A Practical Guide to Christian Education in Your Church.
The Word of God tells us to be ready in season and out of season, so that we are prepared in a moment’s notice to share with others. Well, this mission assignment put the McIntosh couple to the test and they completed the work God called them to do and then some. Thank you, Jesus!
