Happy Thanksgiving!

Being thankful means expressing our gratitude for all that we possess—spirit, soul and body. Christians have much to be thankful for in Jesus! Because His promises and blessings are for evermore. Lamentations 3:22-23 says it like this: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is the Lord’s faithfulness.”

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time of the year to express our gratitude to all of our loved ones. It is that time of the year that we are preparing to celebrate with special dinners and gifts. Letting our loved ones know how much we appreciate and cherish them in our lives. We all know that a good family and loyal friends are blessings from the Lord. And, we should honor each of them with kindness and love all through the year. John 13:34 tells us, “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.”

This is also a perfect time to reflect and give thanks to our Living God for being an awesome and loving Father. It is always the right time to thank Him for His continued protection and provisions. To recount our many victories, we have received in Jesus during the past year. I for one am always thankful for the loyal and giving congregation that God has blessed us with. They have made it possible to financially support the church these many years, our ministry outreaches including this website and weekly radio program on Gospel 1590. It is a great honor to share the Word of God with others. I know that our partners will continue to grow spiritually and be those victorious people that they were created to be in Jesus. Romans 8:37-39 says in part, “No, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life…nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We should never stop honoring our Heavenly Father and Jesus the Christ for creating us; and keeping us safe and sound throughout the year. For in Jesus, we have life and life more abundantly!

Psalm 100:1-5 (Amplified Study Bible):

  1. Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth!
  2. Serve the Lord with gladness and delight; come before His presence with joyful singing.
  3. Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the Lord Himself is God; it is He who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
  4. Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving, and His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name.
  5. For the Lord is good; His mercy and lovingkindness are everlasting, His faithfulness [endures] to all generations.

Amen and amen!
