“Being thankful” means expressing our gratitude for the good we possess. Christians have much to be thankful for in Jesus! Because His covenant promises are for evermore. Lamentations 3:22-23 says: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is the Lord’s faithfulness.”
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year to express our thankfulness to all of our loved ones. It is the season that we prepare to celebrate with special dinners and gifts. Letting our loved ones know how much we appreciate and cherish them. We all know that a good family and loyal friends are blessings from the Lord. We should honor each of them with kindness and love all through the year. John 13:34 tells us, “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.”
This is a perfect time to reflect and give thanks to our Living God for being an awesome and loving Father. It is always the right time to thank Him for His continued protection, provisions and traveling mercies. And, to recount our victories that we received in Jesus during the past year. I am always exceedingly thankful for our loyal and giving congregation. They have made it financially possible to support our outreaches which includes this website; weekly Wednesday radio program on Gospel 1590; published book titled, “Prayers That Reach the Throne of God,” donating to missions and much more. It is a great honor to share the Word of God with others. As a result, our partners will continue to grow spiritually and be those victorious people that they were created to be in Christ. Romans 8:37-39 says in part, “No, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life…nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
We should never stop glorifying our Heavenly Father and Jesus for creating us; and keeping us safe and sound throughout the year. For in Jesus Christ, we have life and life more abundantly!
Psalm 95:1-7 (NIV Bible):
1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
7 for he is our God and we are his pasture, the flock under his care.
Amen!
