How to Develop Strong Faith?

The Holy Scriptures tell us that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). This means that each individual must first obtain godly faith and then learn to use our faith that will please our Heavenly Father.

In brief, when a person receives the Gift of Salvation in Jesus (Rom. 10:9-13), that person is given the measure of the God kind of faith in their newly created spirit. This measure of faith is given to us, so we may grow and live a victorious life in Jesus (Rom. 12:3). Our job after we are saved is to diligently study and then do—be obedient to God’s Word. Whereupon, developing strong godly faith that will keep us from stumbling when Satan comes with his evil schemes against us (2 Peter 1:1-10).

Here are six biblical truths that you must come to know are real by careful study and then acting on them in your everyday living. When you do you will develop strong faith that will give you victory without exception—spirit, soul and body!

1. Know God’s Word is Real and Do the Word Daily
a. You must know that God’s Word is real and does not change (Colossians 2:1-10).
b. You must do the Word of God to activate His promises in your life (James 1:22-25).
2. Know Your Redemption in Christ is Real
a. You must know Jesus as your Savior and Lord (John 14:6-7).
b. Your words must continually line-up with God’s Word
(Matt. 12:33-37).
3. Know You are a New Creation in Jesus
a. You must know that you are a new creation once you have received Jesus as your Savior and Lord (2 Cor. 5:17).
b. You must know that you have been set free from the authority and bondage of the sin nature (Rom. 6:5-14).
4. Know Your Righteousness in Christ that Brings You Victory No Exception
a. You must know that you are righteous; you have right standing with God because you are saved in Christ Jesus (Rom. 3:21-26).
  b. You have the authority, power and dominion to rule over your circumstances and environment (Matt. 16:19; Eph. 6:10-18).
5. Know the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit is Real and Follow His Lead
   a. You must know that being filled with the Holy Spirit gives you supernatural power, if you accept His guidance (Acts 8:14-20;
Acts 19:1-6).
b. You must know that greater is the Holy Spirit that is in you than Satan that is in the world (1 John 5:4-5; 2 Tim. 2:10-11).
6. Know the Authority of the Name of Jesus
a. You must know that you have authority over the devil—he is under your feet, as a result of Jesus’ work (Colossians 1:9-14).
b. You must know that when you use Jesus’ name, God sees it as though Jesus was speaking and doing the act Himself
(Mark 16:15-18; Luke 10:17-19).
