Prosperity for God’s People!

This corrupt economical system that we live under is not designed for Christians to prosper. Satan’s evil system is intentionally designed to keep people in poverty. However, if we take the time to study what God’s Word has to say about financial prosperity, we will find out that Christians can live above this corrupt system. God’s plan for our financial prosperity is not limited by how well the stock market rallied today; or who is in control of our White House; or if you got a salary-increase. God will use these channels to bless His people, but remember God is our Source of wealth and not this corrupt world system.

We know from God’s Word that it is His plan that we walk in prosperity in every area of our lives: spirit, soul, and body (Third John 1:2). God’s prosperity is not only about money, but it most definitely includes money. Satan has sold Christians a pack of lies regarding financial prosperity. This teaching will set the record straight. I am talking about Christians claiming their legal right to God’s earthly riches and living in financial abundance.

This is what I found out about the topic of “money” in the Bible by way of theInternet. According to Shelley Moore, “money is mentioned 140 times in theKing James Bible. And, if we include the words gold, silver, wealth, riches, inheritance, debt, poverty, and related topics it turns out that the Bible pays a great deal of attention to financial matters than nearly any other subject.” This lets us know that money is important to God for His children.

It was always God’s intent for mankind to live in prosperity. In Genesis 2:26-30the Godhead is discussing the creation of mankind; how they will bless man and give mankind dominion over all His creation. God created the precious materials: gold, silver, diamonds and other precious resources for our pleasure and purpose.

Here are some additional verses that tell us that God wants us to live inprosperity.

• Genesis 26:12-14; 39:2-3
• Deuteronomy 8:18; 28:1-14
• Psalm 1:1-3; 23:1-6; 34:8-10
• Proverbs 3:9-10; 8:20-21; 10:22
• Isaiah 1:19-20
• John 10:10
• Philippines 4:19

All of these scriptures tell us that we should prosper in all good things. Well, then let us take advantage of the things God has created for us, so we can be blessed and be a blessing. Financial prosperity is not just for our individual gratification, but also for us to be a channel of blessing to others and proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Keep in mind that you cannot give what you do not have.

Therefore, God has instituted a divine law in His Word that guarantees financial prosperity for all His children which is independent of the world economic system. His Word tells us that if we do not rob Him of His tithes and offerings, we can expect the windows of Heaven blessing on our lives (Malachi 3:8-12).
