The God Kind of Faith

Faith is acting on what you believe. It is not just believing something, but it must include doing what you believe is true. In short, the meaning of “The God Kind of Faith” is acting on or doing what God’s Word says to do.

God’s Word tells us that when you do His Word you will get positive results from your works (James 2:20-26). However, this requires that you study, so you can correctly understand the meaning of the scriptures (Second Timothy 2:15) and then apply the principle to your life.

Romans 10:17 tells us that to obtain strong faith we must hear the Word of God continually. The more we hear and comprehend the promises of God the better we can apply His Word to the challenges of life. Then we will be able to speak to the circumstances of life with authority and drive Satan and his evil assignment away from us.

Speaking the Word of God is a faith action that we need to do daily. The biblical principle is “What we say with our mouth is what we believe in our heart [spirit].” Whatever we are saying about ourselves, the situations we are in, and or our surroundings will bring us life or death (Proverbs 18:21, Proverbs 6:2, Matthew 12:33-37 and Joshua 1:8).

There are many faith events recorded in the Holy Bible. All of them illustrate the various steps needed to apply the faith principle (Matthew 8:5-13; Matthew 9:20-22; Matthew 14:25-31; and Mark 2:1-12). This principle includes hearing God’s Word, thinking on His Word, speaking His Word, and then acting on God’s Word.

Here is a powerful example of strong faith in action found in Mark 5:25-34 regarding a woman who had an issue of flowing blood for 12-years. This recorded event tells us that she had gone to many physicians but had gotten worst. However, when she heard [faith comes from hearing] about Jesus who had been healing the sick she decided to break the Levitical Law of that time (Leviticus 15:18-33 & Numbers 5:1-3). She dared to step out in faith and went to Jesus to obtain her healing. She said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” This was her faith speaking. Then she acted on her belief and touched Jesus’ garment which released her faith to receive her healing immediately. Jesus acknowledged that His healing anointing had transferred to her and He said “Daughter, your faith has made you whole.” Jesus did not say His power healed her. Jesus said her faith healed her!

This is exactly what we need to do to operate in the God kind of faith. First, find out what the Bible says about your challenge. Second, speak that verse over your situation in prayer. And, finally pray a prayer of thanksgiving until you receive the manifestation. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. When you follow this principle, you can rest assure that you will always have victory in your life.
