Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year to express our gratitude to all our loved ones. It is the season that we prepare to celebrate with special dinners and gifts. Letting our loved ones know how we appreciate and cherish them. We all know that a good family and loyal friends are blessings from the Lord. We should honor each of them with kindness and love all through the year. John 13:34 tells us, “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.”
This is also a perfect time to reflect and give thanks to our Living God for being an awesome and loving Father. It is always the right time to thank Him for His continued protection, provisions and traveling mercies. And, to recount our victories that we received in Jesus during the past year. As for me, I am always exceedingly thankful for our loyal and giving congregation. They have made it financially possible to support our outreaches which includes this website; weekly Wednesday radio program on Gospel 1590; published book titled, “Prayers That Reach the Throne of God,” Women Bible Studies and much more. It is a great honor to share the Word of God with others. As a result, our partners will continue to grow spiritually and be those victorious people that they were destined to be in Christ. Romans 8:37-39 says in part, “No, in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life…nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
We should never stop glorifying our Heavenly Father the Righteous Judge and Jesus for creating us; and keeping us safe throughout the year. For in Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, we have life and life more abundantly!
Psalm 96:1-9 (Amplified Study Bible):
- O Sing to the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord, all the earth!
- Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day.
- Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works and wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
- For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be reverence above all gods.
- For all the gods of the peoples are [worthless, lifeless] idols, but the Lord made the heavens.
- Splendor and majesty are before Him; Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
- Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
- Ascribe to the Lord the glory of His name; Bring an offering and come into His courts.
- Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; in submissive wonder before Him, all the earth. Amen.
Thanksgiving blessings to you all!
